I have engineered roof trusses with double W Unistar construction. Each winter, the interior wall/ceiling joints perpendicular to the joist runs open up with cracks, some maybe 1/4 inch wide halfd the length of the room. Each summer I fix them, only to have them open again in the cold of winter (circa 27 degrees). I believe the engineered trusses are expanding and contracting under the heat/cold ranges in my climate. Is this correct, and is there a solution short of installing crown moulding everywhere.
