Jeff, We just moved into a 200 year old house and I ripped up 7 layers of carpets over carpets, newspapers, pressed chipboard and linoleium and got to 14" pine boards that are in pretty good condition. I have no idea what to do next. I'd like to refinish meaning sand and then put on whatever Im supposed to but I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Sounds like you are in the same boat.
