We purchased an Amana furnace in the fall of 1989 and have nothing but problems from this sorry piece of equipment. Every year we have had to have a repair man out at least twice and often more than that. Now we find there was a defect in some of the mechanism and it can't be repaired. We have to get a new furnace. If someone would have told us of the program to replace the furnaces sooner we would have done just that. Now we get a very minimal amount on the furnace after paying all those repair fees. Trust me, they were more than the allowance we are being given. Is there any help out there?
