I could really use some feedback on foundations in San Antonio , TX. I have heard that cracked foundations are almost unavoidable in this area due to the type of soil and extreme heat / little rain. I am currently house shopping and was advised of previous foundation problems on a house we liked. The home has had " piers installed " and is now considered repaired. Is it true that a home that has had foundation problems will most likely have problems again ? Is it true that foundation problems are unavoidable in this area ?
