We live in a 120 year old farm house that has lathe and plaster (horsehair) throughout. We moved the house so some rooms were damaged very badly. The main dining area was too damaged to fix so we opted to remove and insulate/wire/drywall. It was a very messy and time consuming job, dust gets everywhere and it took us almost 2 years to complete the job. I'd fix it if it wasn't too bad. Just my opinion but I won't do another room.
