The "FLANGE" That Is Molded Into The "WAX RING" Goes INTO The Waste Drain Pipe...When You "SEAT" The Comode: Press The Wax Ring Unto The Bottom Of The Comode Till It Is Stationary, (a good twist will secure it properly), Then Have Someone Guide You So That The Comode Wax Ring w/Flange Will Be Evenly Seated With The Drain Hole Pipe. Remember: The "METAL CUP" or Better Known As The "FLANGE" Must GO INTO THE WASTE DRAIN PIPE!...Once The Comode Is SEATED Be Sure To Not Use Or Move The Comode Until You Have Fastened The Bolts Securely!...Also, Do Not Over Tighten The Bolts Or Screws, You Could Possibly Damage The Comode...
