I found this message board after having a HORRIBLE conversation with Maytag customer service re: a Performa dryer that is less than 2 yrs old & no longer heating. Of course, it only came with 1 yr warranty & I never thought to purchase an extended warranty because I thought they were such high quality & dependable. They offered to pay for half the cost of parts & labor which is not what I wanted but better than nothing. I plan on writing letters to everyone in the company to complain about the poor performance of the washer and terribly rude, nasty customer service. From this message board it sounds like they could care less. Has anyone else had problems with the Peforma series? I'll never buy another Maytag & am telling everyone I know about this situation.
