need info on stripping was from tile floor

I have a smooth terra cotta tile that was waxed and polished 18 years ago. It is now scratched, and has a lot of build up. Do you have advise on stripping the was and reapplying. Washing with MopnGlo used to make it shine, but this does not work any longer
