I have a 50 year old Cape Cod and would like to install overhangs so that I can add soffit vents to better ventilate my attic. The problem I am trying to solve is ice damning (I live in Buffalo). Does anyone know of a good do-it-yourself book or website I can find out how to do it. I may or may not do it myself but want to understand what is involved.
