erratic toilet

Posted by Diane on February 12th, 2004 10:15 AM

My main floor toilet will sometimes flush well and sometimes it needs a plunger to get it down, even if its just water from washing the floor. Is there something you can put in it to digest the organic matter? The problem is happening more frequently, and I'm getting worried it will overflow. Perhaps it needs to be "snaked", I already bought a closet auger, but was hoping something else could be done. (I always sweep the floor before I wash it -nothing but dirt goes in the water.) Help! I'd like some advice!
