I realized there is no insulation in the common wall. I want to take down the existing drywall and install insulation, a sound board, and drywall... Now I noticed they installed a soft wood behind the drywall..Assuming its a sound proof board. My question is; Is it worth it to do what I want to do and how effective is a 1986 sound board now a days?
