We just bought a house with hardwood floors throughout. Is it possible to just put a coat of poly on top without sanding all the finish off. The floors aren't bad, but there are worn spots and scratches. I want to eventually refinish them but it will be a couple of years (the middle of the to do list) , but yet I want to protect them from getting damaged further.
