Maybe I was a little missleading in my original message. The candlesticks that I spoke of had a silvery color from a distance. When looked at under a bright light the brass shows through well, but the tarnish is white and came off in a test spot with brasso. I don't expect them to be of great value or anything, but I do like attempting to age my collection. I would appreciate any help anyone may offer.
