Hi bonnie,

Your post sounds vaguely familiar. Maybe it wasn't your post that I recently answered but it sounds very familiar, even w/what I see as added 'details' about your situation. Well, anyways ...

If the water in the well is originating from water on the patio, then there isn't much you can do to prevent the wells from filling. You can cover your patio (with a roof). Or, you'll have to do something that will 'intercept' the water on its way to the window wells. If the project involves tearing up the concrete along the foundation, and around the wells, that's what it will take. I could go as far as suggesting that you install sump pumps in the wells but that just seems like a bad idea (albeit, it will work).

Do keep this in mind - Even if you dug up the patio and regraded and so on, you need to think about what you're going to do with the water. If the water was to just 'run off' the sides of the patio, will it run to your French Drain at the base of your hill? In other words, what good will your fix do if the water ends up collecting elsewhere and causing a 'new' problem?

Maybe others have some ideas. My best to ya and hope this helps.
