Baseboard heating units

I need to replace the radiators in a room above my garage. The plumbers have suggested re-installing the original design iron baseboard and also the copper finned tubing. The copper finned tubing looks attractive because the return line can be built into the units and the walls will not have to be torn up.
Would you compare the cast iron to the copper finned radiators? Is one superior to the other in any significant way?

Thanks,

Tom
