Unfortunately, we all have to live with the expansion/contraction of wood. The T moulding is used to gain expansion spaces. If your rooms are not too large, you may be able to ignore the recommendations of the manufacturer and do without the T strips. The worse thing that will happen is during the humidity of the summer, the flooring may expand and buckle. We use to install real oak flooring room to room without expansion strips and never had buckling problems.
