3 way switch for electric lamp

I need to know what and how to wire an electric lamp. It has two globes and I want to put a night light (small watt) bulb in the bottom unit and then have a regular light in the top and then you're suppose to be able to turn BOTH bulbs on at the same time. I assume I need a three way switch, but I don't know how to do the wiring, for inside of the lamp.
Any one who can help me?? I hope so. Would appreciate any help possible.
