my husband and i have used the p&s tiles in entry ways and bathrooms. we love them! however, we had a problem getting them to stick when 1.) the temperature of the floor was too cold, and 2.) pre-existing adhesive was on the floor. Upon the suggestion of the guy at Home Depot, we first put a striper on to remove the adhesive and then layed a floor primer. It was fast, easy and well worth it. The savings is great in ceramic v. vinyl and a secret: use a sealer in the cracks which matches the edging of tiles just as you would with ceramic tiles. it looks great and keeps moisture out too. good luck!
