I am in the process of building a new home. The ceiling in the home is a problem. You can see where the drywall sheets ended and began so it looks like a ripple effect in the ceiling. Is this normal? I want it fixed but my contractor says that this is normal and when we get the lights in you won't be able to see it. My building inspector says it is not a structural problem and his hands are tied on it. My question is: Is it reasonable to ask my contractor to fix this? And should he do it at no cost to me? This new home has been a nightmare. There are many other things as well but this is the most noticeable. What should I do?
