I have some trim that is peeling after putting latex paint on it. The paint underneath is only 1 maybe 2 coats but it's probably as old as my house. Can I put a sealant primer to seal this old paint then repaint with a latex trim paint? I'm not sure if it is latex or oil...my guess is oil. If i can use a sealant which type would I use and would this solve my peeling epidemic??? Would I have to remove all the latex paint too? I'm stumped on this!!!
