Our new Kitchenaid electric range gives 3(2 "hot" and 1 "neutral") and 4(2 "hot", 1 neutral, and 1 bare ground)wire hookup instructions. The old range had 2 "hot" wires and 1 bare ground but no neutral wire. Was this common practice back in the 70's? How do I hook up the new appliance now? Thanks for any help
