It depends........Change the wiring if the NEW Range calls for ONLY a 4-wire hook-up (separate Neutral/Ground)....OR if you need to extend the wire to a new location.....
But Tom added a new twist....Aluminum wire...
.......I would NEVER reuse an old existing aluminum wire inside a house........MY OPINION: I suggest you replace the Al wire with a modern 4-wire supply...........
