floor options Posted by Reed on February 22nd, 2004 03:25 PM In reply to Garage Floor Tiles by TA on February 22nd, 2004 01:13 AM [Go to top of thread]
I've been thinking about redoing my garage floor as well. I've looked at the racedeck tiles and thought it would be a hassle to install them and make them look good. And they have a grid pattern, if I'm not mistaken, so dirt will get traped in the little squares. Then how do you clean them. Would you have to remove the tiles, wash, then reinstall? And if you're left with a gap along the edges, what do you do? How about the part of the concrete floor that sticks out beyond the garage door, do you do that part as well? Doesn't seem worth it to me.
I'm considering finishing the floor with an epoxy coating, from the ucoatit.com products. Certainly no endorsement for them as I haven't used it yet, just seems to me to be the quality that I want. I agree with DP, I'm first doing the walls, putting up hangers, shelves etc first. Good luck Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
