Plaster Walls

If the plaster is coming off badly, about the only thing you can do is pull the rest off and replace with drywall. If it is the old wood slat lath, you could put drywall over that for the easiest fix. Removing the lath would be a chore! If the wood lath is not too bad, it will provide a good base for 1/4" drywall. Or use 1/2" drywall if that matches the thickness of the plaster better.
