I aged my kitchen cabinets by going to Home Depot and mixing one quart of Colchester taupe to a gallon of Behr glaze. I applied the glaze with a brush and then used a hard bristle brush to move the glaze around, almost in a dragging motion. It gave it a great aged look. If you want a little more distressed look just take a little sandpaper and rough up some edges. My cabinets were already white, so if yours are stained you will have to apply primer to them first.
