After having read all of the messages, it seems Maytag has a defective product. Last Friday, for the second time, the wahser doesn't spin. All-Brands, a service company came and told us that the control board and the motor has to be fixed, and that both of them come in a package kit. Can't be separated, and it'll cost $450.

We also had the mold problem and had to have the rubber gasket replaced. If there is a lawsuit, we will join. My wife doesn't want anything to do with Maytag forever. I hope the president of Maytag or someone there is monitoring this site because I will tell all of my friends and acquaintances, and whoever is contemplating buying anthing from Maytag to reconsider.

For $450, we will buy another model.
