Ball point pen stain

Patty, depending on the finish used, denatured alcohol should remove the ink and may not harm the finish. First, check that the finish on your table will not be harmed by rubbing a spot with a cloth that has alcohol on it in a spot that is not easily visible but is finished. If the finish is not removed by the alcohol, then try it on the stain. You probably will want to put the alcohol on and blot with the rag more than trying to wipe the stain off.
