getting rid of dog smell in crate

If your dog is peeing in the crate you must wash all bedding, toys and the cage itself. Let it air outside. I use super-strength fe-breeze if my dog has an accident on the carpet, this is after I have cleaned it with a carpet shampoo. The fe-breeze seems to neutralize the odor. You might even try a plug-in air freshener. Hope this helps as our dogs are part of the family and I could never part with them.
