heating entire house with baseboard heaters Posted by ELAN LESLIE on February 29th, 2004 06:25 AM
How do you maintain a constant temp for a split level home(finished basement)when only some rooms are used at different times and some require more or less heat depending on the size, windows, and sun exposure. My heating costs using electric heat is outrages.I lived in a home for ten years with a forced air furnace and it was not that expensive ,even with a rising cost of oil.I have been in this home for 3 months and tried to keep costs down by lowering ,or turning off ,main floor thermastats and keeping basement ones; on thinking that, heat rises,so it should keep house comfortable throughout the day at least .Signed Cold in Canada Was this post helpful?
