My new basement was finished approx. 1 week ago. Yesterday I found several cracks in the new block running down the mortar joint approx. 5-6 coarses long one of which in wide enough to see through in to the basement. The other crack is under a window that again runs down the joint and through the middle of one block down to newly poured floor. This cracking seems premature to me since there is no load on the wall yet and no backfill. Is this something that needs repaired or will the wall need redone. thanks
