My New TV. A Regular Riot, Alice! Posted by Bob on February 29th, 2004 10:46 AM
About a year ago, I purchased a brand new Panasonic TV. About 4 months or so after buying it, all of a sudden, when I turn it on, it makes the regular sound like it's going on, but does not go on. Bare in mind, this hardly ever happens, but it does happen sometimes. The solution: Pull out the TV plug and put it back in. Repeat this about 3 or 4 times, and this solves the problem, I mean, then, press the TV power switch and bingo, it goes on. Or, what can solve it instantly, is if I take the TV plug and plug it into a nearby different outlet. Goes on instantly. Then I go back over to the other outlet where I want my TV plug to go in, because it's right in back of the TV, and this is the quickest solution. Goes right on. Now, I know what your thinking: Replace the outlet, right? But my VCR is plugged into the same outlet in back of the TV and when this ever occurs, which is pretty much rare, the VCR works in either of the two outlets just fine. My Town Home was built in 1997. Why does it occasionally do this? Thinking about yelling out to "Norton" and getting him down here. LOL Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
