been there, done that Posted by Bob on February 29th, 2004 11:38 AM In reply to Maybe the TV plug............ by doug seibert on February 29th, 2004 11:07 AM [Go to top of thread]
Doug, have already tried that. What I forgot to mention is, that as of a few weeks ago, I went to one of those multi outlet units where one grounded plug, plugs into the outlet, and you plug in all your plugs into it(the TV, VCR, and Ionizer that plugs into the transformer at the end). You may be very well correct in that maybe the outlet is worn, but bare in mind, this is the bottom of a double duplex outlet that I have the grounded plug in. When this happens, I try putting the grounded plug in the top outlet. Doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 times of unplugging, plugging back in, to make the TV go on. Bare in mind also, that during this time, the VCR and Ionizer are functioning just fine and dandy. Strange that when I take the TV plug out, and plug it into a "completely different nearby outlet" once, the TV goes right on. Then, all I have to do is plug it in "once" in the multi plug system, and it goes right on. Could it be in the wiring system? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
