the easiest way is:turn power off, remove both switches completly.get a length of wire long enough to reach to both boxes.turn power back on.now find the 2 wires(1 in each box) that when connected together make the light come on.turn the power back off.connect these 2 to the common terminals on the switches.and the other 2 wires to the travelers. now will work.
