ok pay attention, get urself a 30 gallon compresser a DA sander light grit paper,u need a garage to paint or sand, lightly sand surface to be painted scuffing surface and removing harsh spots,,dont sand through paint to fiber thats a nono, after smothing surface wipe with liquid reducer, then wipe area with tac cloth, spread auto, boat bondo over area to be painted this will fill small holes and blemishes,,sand again and repeat above rub your hand over areas,,is it smooth?ok now ur ready for primer,go to your localauto paint supplyer pick up ur paint and primer and clearcoat have atleast 400cash in ur pocket u will need to mix paint as well as primer to a certain ratio your salesman will help u,also ur spray gun should be gravity fed. suction fed doesnt work as well and paint gets wasted,,ok now primer 3 coats with no runs, let dry then repeat above sand primer wipe then tac cloth it,,ok paint color 3 coats,,let dry if no runs in color,,spray 3 coats clear coat,,and for bottom paint go to west marine choose color of choice and brush bottom paint onto a sanded surface,,and no u cant paint ur boat with a brush,,i recomend u get ur boat painted from a pro because their is alot involved and it isnt as easy as u think,,1 touch of an oily finger can make the paint fall off, just enjoy the ugly looking boat until u have enough money to buy something u like and looks good,,cheers.
