I own a three sided berm type earth home that I purchased from the previous owner. It has a southern exposure with a solarium. It has poured concrete walls with a pre-stressed concrete roof.Dimensions are 50'L.x 30'W. I would suggest that if you build one that you cover the outside with a EPDM rubber roof membrane before you back fill with earth,or consider using a material called bettenite to seal the seams where the roof meets the walls, as this is the area where leaks are most likely to occur.Back filling with clay would also be highly recommended.
