systems, but didn't want to sound partial... but since you asked... go Carrier! 8-)
Most major HVAC manufacturers have websites... and great information about their systems.
(plus some offer rebates and special financing... like 180 days no interest/ no payments deals.)
As I said below, most HVAC contractors are delighted to come out and give you a free estimate. Get 3-4. Ask about warranty. Ask about efficiency. And most important, find a solid company who will be there AFTER the sale.
Even though I work for a Carrier dealership, out of fairness, I'll give you my "3 Top Picks" that I'd personally consider if I was to purchase a new HVAC system: Carrier, Amana and Trane. (I'd want a bid on all 3 before I'd decide.)
