Thanks for your thoughts. Our neighbor is HVAC man, will install the unit. But like you I'm worried about the warranty. How can we go back to the friend of a friend who sold us the unit and didn't install it? My husband is so intent on getting the bottom line as low as possible he might just end up losing in the long run. That's why I posted the question.
