For half the cost we ultimately went witha Alcoa's Leaf Relief. The last two weeks we have had torrential rain, what better way to test them? To see if it had clogged over the winter after the leaves fell
I got the umbrella and went out to see if our investment is working.
I can report that a whole lot of rain made it into the gutter. The downspouts looked like fire hoses, so much water was coming out. I'm also able to see out my kitchen window when the "waterfall" effect used to happen without any gutter guard . Now, I don't see all the water cascading off the roof edge. I also don't see the trenching happening like I did with the old gutters.
So far so good. The real test will be in the fall -- to see how they handle debris.
