ok first thing is this u have a switch in ur room that control and outlet..ok open up that outlet that is controlled by that switch..ok ull see black wires and white wires, splice all the blacks together and all the whites together and hook the oulet back up and put it back into the wall..ok now u just made that outlet on all the time and put ur ur power to the switch..ok now that 3 wire u ran in the attic is white, black ,and red they dont count the ground as a wire...ok take ur duplex switch u have and put the black wire on the commom side..and the red,and black from your 3 wire on the other side and tie ur whites together..now in ur fan ur blue wire goes to the black wire from ur 3 wire u ran to ur switch..ur red wire to ur black wire in the fan and tie ur whites together and ur done good luck
