Posts sound too complicated/ three wire from original sw to new sw location should be sufficient/ There are more than 1 way to(skin a cat) wire a three way- Easiest solution is toi get a basic wiring book at a home center and be careful!!!...I tell my customers that do their own work then call us to geta book- it is not rocket science.
