Put a centerpiece on it. I'm betting it was from a candle originally anyway.

No known way to remove burns from formica. A burn is a permanent reconfiguration of a molecular structure, it can't be undone.

For countertops, I recommend setting in a tile over the burn, or a few tiles as needed for aesthetics.

For your table, it isn't probably worth the risk. Find something unique to put over the burn, and you can laugh about its dual use.
