The following link: http://www.owenscorning.com/owens/around/insulation/project/basementwalls.asp is quite informative, and talks about the different options/techniques for finishing a basement. Now for the question... Does anyone have any experience with either of the two, less traditional systems mentioned (Owens Corning Basement Wall Finishing System which requires no additional paneling or drywall or the INSULPINK foam insulation board to add R-value without sacrificing space to construct framing)? I'm looking into this, because the cost for INSULPINK sheets are only around $6 for a 2x8 sheet, and without paying for framing, insulation, and drywall, it certainly IS cost effective. Any input is appreciated.
