best way to remove carpet tacking strips?

I just pulled up carpet and padding to reclaim a nice
hardwood floor for one bedroom. Now I need to remove
the carpet tacking strips around the edges, and I wanted
to ask for suggestions on the best tool and technique
to use to avoid marring my floor when prying out the
nails.
