I have 5 yr old oak cabinets that are in a natural finish. I particularly do not like oak but don't have the money to reface them at this time. I am currently putting down "Autumn" slate floors and will be re-tileing my counter to give an Old World/Tuscan look. However, the cabinets are not the look I want. I was wondering if there was a way to refinish the oak cabinets darker and apply a glaze to make them look Old World/or Tuscan without the expense in refacing them? Can you take me step by step in doing this process?
