Moen shower valve

Is this hot water problem limited only to this one fixture or are other fixtures also suffering ffrom this dilemma? Turning up the thermostat on the water heater would rectify this problem.

I believe you got a single handled shower supply valve. A handle or knob you turn counter-clock wise going from off, to cold towards hot.

You then will have to remove the handle, probably an allenscrew underneath it. Now you'll notice there is a limiter that stops the movement of the handle towards the hot side of the valve. Some Moen valves require a star screwdriver to adjust a small slide (at the 2 0'clock position from the stem). Other limiters are two plastic splines. You well have to remove them and readjust them so the lever handle can turn towards to left (handle pointing to the 9 o'clock position.

You could look for instructions my calling Moen or visiting Home Depot, etc. Hope this helped.
