I too live in St. Louis and had a great deck built with cedar and Winchester Grey TREX. The mildew stains have come and I have powerwashed to no avail. I am going to use one of the recommended washs (Olympic?...), sand grease stains, and seal with Penofin Knotwood stain/sealer for composite decks (Saw it in my surfing TREX mildew problems off of Google). It is a shame that "maintainence free" is such a pain. I had a redwood deck at my last house that needed yearly powerwashing and staining/sealing because of dog nails and wear. I wanted to get rid of that without getting rid of our dog (understandible...right?. I would love to be involved in a restitution suit against TREX but am trying to make the best of it. Staining, painting, and/or sealing after cleaning seems to be the best choice!
