Same problem - fan possessed by the devil (aka HBay)

My fan's developed a problem where the fan light will switch off at will and the fan spin up to top speed (1-3). The fan remote will show the correct settings, but it's obvious the fan isn't listening. I'll be calling the support number somebody offered in another thread, 1-877-527-0313, and see if I can get a replacement remote. If no luck, looks like I'll be searching for my receipt from Home Depot or buying a new fan.
