Humming noise

It's humming because it doesn't know the words :)
Some humming is normal. Do you have a dimmer switch you use for the fan & light or 2 seperate switches (1 fan 1 light)? If you only have one switch and your fan is on, then you dim it, you will get a louder hum since your cutting back on the power going to the motor. The motor is kind of struggling then.
