I recently had the roof of my two year old office leak..resulting in water pouring into my office the ceiling where the water came in is made of dry wall and the water came in between the junction of two pieces of drywall it leaked for roughly two to three days.
The building contractor in an effort to help out offered to repair the damage and sent a man out to repair the damage. I expected him to cut out the area of drywall that was wet and replace it with new drywall. However, this was not the case he simply rescrewed the drywall back into place and is reputtying it. Should I be concerned?? Is there some type of rule that drywall shouldn’t get wet and if it does you need to replace it?
