I have a friend who elected to paint his garage floor. I helped him do the job too. We used muratic acid to wash the floor and "etch" it. Be careful when doing this when you do not have good venelation. We then applied a 2 part epoxy based paint to the floor, added some silica sand while it was wet and.... A very tough paint with traction when it is wet. I considered doing my garage floor the same, but I am still leary of paint and decided to see how his holds up. It has been 2 years and it still looks great. Good luck
